Guitarist and composer Bill Frisell has spent more than four decades redefining the sound of modern jazz, earning widespread acclaim and a Grammy Award for his genre-blurring work. A Doris Duke Artist and frequent Blue Note Records collaborator, his evocative style bridges Americana, improvisation, and composition.
Trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire is one of his generation’s most daring voices, a critically lauded composer with multiple Grammy Award nominations and commissions from leading institutions.
