Hey COPA! We are having a Garage Concert with Carrie Welling on Saturday Feb 22nd.
As you know it can be -10 or 80F that time of year so we can’t really plan on an outdoor concert. We can get 40-50 people in the garage if everyone just brings in a chair. Large chests are welcome to sit outside, and the Little House will be open for bathroom. We will probably have a one dish meal but haven’t decided yet. There’s not enough room to set up all of the tables for a full-fledged potluck. We realize this is new and a little unconventional, but Carrie is a very sweet and talented songwriter/singer. She is on a tour and wants a chance to introduce herself to you! Some of you saw her at MOTM last October. We’ve been around her several times and are looking forward to hosting this concert. I will update you as we get closer but just wanted to get the news out there so you can make plans. Here is her website if you’d like to read about her, check out her music and merch. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE consider taking an Uber/Lyft/Taxi or have a designated driver, especially if you plan on drinking (MUCH cheaper than a DUI.)
Parking is at 2301 N Minnie Ln – across and up the street on the west side at the bank call center (front entrance has a covered portico). They let us use the parking spaces on the north side so please be respectful of their property.
