About the Instructor
Poet JRose
JRose is a spoken word artist born and raised in Queens, NY. Her love for Hip Hop inspired her to start writing poetry at age 16. Her profound yet relatable poetry speaks unapologetically about love, heartbreak, mental health, sexuality, women's empowerment, trauma and everything in between.
Since 2015, JRose has been featured on stages in several states across the US and various influential venues. In 2018, she established The Rose Garden Events, producing performance-based events. In 2020 she launched a traveling talk show titled "The JRose Experience" which discusses the creative process of poetry, music, art and entrepreneurship from the perspective of Poets. JRose also mentors poets and entrepreneurs, and facilitates spoken word, creative writing and social media workshops.
JRose is on a path to fulfill her life purpose to provide safe spaces and outlets for artists and small business owners to be seen and heard. She believes that there is no such thing as a garden with just one flower in it. This idea is the seed that flourished into her consistency and dedication to serve all artistic communities.
