Pongola Express Coach Camp
Two nights at Pongola Camp will set the stage for a great outdoor weekend. Two vintage, well-preserved 1911 railway coaches form the heart of this camp. We’ll use it as our base camp, with a Saturday hike featuring both shorter and longer route options.
8 SPOTS AVAILABLE
Both long and short hikes will be between Pongola Express Camp and Candlewood Camp.
A highlight on the hike is the Uitkomst Waterfall near Candlewood.
For the hike, you will only need a small daypack to carry water, snacks, jackets, etc., and hiking sticks (if used).
Other costs for members’ accounts are:
- Food
- Drinks
- Petrol to and from destination
- One toll gate on the N4
- Misc
