Bike the Rivers & Hike the Mountains: Upper Arroyo Seco

Join ActiveSGV for our Bike the Rivers & Hike the Mountains series. For this series of events we will bike our local rivers and hike in the San Gabriel Mountains while learning about current efforts to protect the San Gabriel Mountains for future generations!

THIS EVENT IS A BIKE RIDE and it will start/finish at Pasadena Central Park (275 S Raymond Ave, Pasadena, CA 91105) and travel mostly on city streets. Due to the length, this ride is not recommended for anyone under 12.

Pre-registration is required for all participants. If you are attending with other family members, each person must be registered separately to attend.

Date: Saturday, July 20, 2024

Timeline:

• 7:00 PM @ Meet at Pasadena Central Park
• 7:30 PM Roll
• 8:30 PM Stop at Devils Gate Dam

• 9:30 PM Return to Pasadena Central Park

Start/End: Pasadena Central (275 S Raymond Ave, Pasadena, CA 91105)

Route: Approx. 12 -mile route mostly on streets

Experience Level: Intermediate

Getting There: Metro, Foothill Transit

Parking: Old Pasadena Parking

What to Bring:

• A helmet is required if under 18
• A functional bicycle or wheeled device (highly recommended with gears)
• Front and Rear Bike light
• Additional cash/credit to purchase food
• Water Bottle
• Bikes with training wheels are not permitted, but children are welcome to attend if pulled in a trailer or on-bike child seat.

*** PLEASE NOTE: All ride participants must sign a waiver to participate. A parent or legal guardian must sign for and accompany any minors under 18 participating in the ride. ***

**RAIN POLICY: In the event of a rain forecast, we will contact you 24 hours in advance to confirm or cancel the ride**
