Grab your bike and hit the trail with Palmer Land Conservancy for our 5th annual Bike the Bessemer event – a fun-filled and educational ride showcasing Pueblo County’s premier agricultural lands and important water resources.
Whether you joined us last year or this is your first time saddling up with Palmer, there will be something for everyone at this year's Bike the Bessemer. Your morning will include a scenic 15 mile bike ride with stops at local farms where you will receive a behind-the-scenes glimpse into their operations. Along the way, we will ride near the historic Bessemer Irrigation Ditch and learn about the importance of this critical water resource to maintaining Pueblo’s agricultural heritage.
After your ride, enjoy a refreshing beverage and a delicious farm-to-table lunch (included with your registration) featuring seasonal ingredients sourced directly from the farmers in Pueblo County, catered by Soul Smile Health & Wellness. This year’s event will also feature an on-site Farmers Market of local producers so that you can shop-til-you-drop to directly support Pueblo farmers and their agricultural legacy.
