Join the City of Coral Gables and Bike Walk Coral Gables for the return of the annual Bike & BBQ, the most popular bike tour of the year. This 11-mile (round trip), police-escorted tour starts at the War Memorial Youth Center, then on our lush city streets to Matheson Hammock Park. Enjoy the historic coral rock buildings, nature trails and picnic pavilion where we enjoy a delicious BBQ-style picnic and live music! Following the music, lawn games and BBQ, participants will have the opportunity to return on their own or join the police escorted group to safely ride back to the Youth Center.***This ride is recommended for riders ages 10-years and older and for riders that can maintain a minimum speed of 10 mph. Children under 16 must wear a helmet to participate. Check that your bikes are in good riding condition.**
This ride is in partnership with Dade Heritage Trust, Coral Gables Crime Watch, and No Boundaries Sport, who will be available on site to inspect participant bikes. Advanced registration is required.
