Most of us didn’t learn to speak in front of people by reading about it. We learned by standing up, getting it a little wrong, and trying again. Big World Network Speakers Lab is a free public speaking workshop where you can do exactly that in a welcoming room with people who want you to do well.
Presented by Big World Network and the Cultural Arts Society of West Jordan, and facilitated by Jared Quan, the two-hour session moves through prepared talks, panel practice, impromptu responses to surprise prompts, and longer featured presentations. Every round ends with friendly, specific feedback you can use right away. The skills carry over to presentations, interviews, readings, storytelling, and panel discussions.
All experience levels are welcome, from people working through stage fright to experienced presenters sharpening their delivery. Speaking in front of the group is encouraged but never required, and supporting others’ practice is part of the work too.
Thursday, November 19, 2026, 7:00 to 9:00 PM
CASWJ Corner, 7879 S 1530 W, Suite 600, West Jordan, UT 84088
Free and open to the community. Registration is encouraged, and walk-ins are always welcome.
