Are you interested in big ways or want to brush up on skills that you rarely get to practice? Is one of your goals to get invited to invitational events, sequentails, or records? Are you having a hard time building the experience necessary to achieve those goals? Well, this is your answer!!
Whether you are looking to be introduced to big ways, or you are looking to gain more big way experience and secure invites to records and invitational events, this event will help you achieve those goals. Or, have you been pigeonholed in the big way world to one slot and are looking to gain more experience in different slots? This is a great camp to try new slots! Over the course of the event, participants will have the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of exit and break off/tracking group positions, as well as a variety of slots. From floating from the lead plane to diving from the trail plane, all slots will be covered, and depending on experience, each participant will have an opportunity to try different slots.
The jumps will be structured to focus on big way specific skills, starting with single point 2 plane 20 ways moving into 40 ways ideally on day 2. Sight pictures for exit, approach, and break off will be introduced and focused on in the jumps as well as build process and communication in freefall. Exit altitude will be from 15,000 ft and 17,000 ft, increasing as the event progresses giving the participants the opportunity to use supplemental oxygen on every jump in a controlled environment. Everything you can think of will be covered!
Every jump will be extensively prepped and debriefed with the best video in the business, brought to you by Byrd's Eye Studio. The preparation of the jump will introduce big way specific terminology and specific goals for each participant to achieve. Debriefs will be in a structured environment with a focus on the goal of the jump, and individuals will be given feedback to improve the skill they are working on. Each jump will likely be repeated to facilitate improvements on each skill set.
The goal for the weekend will be to make 15 jumps spread out over the four days of jumping. Participants will have ample time between jumps to fully prep and debrief each jump. By the end of the event, every participant will have gained a stronger understanding of big way FS and have gobs of fun!
Registration and per jump cost includes all organizer and video costs, your jump (15,000 ft to 17,000 ft), oxygen and cannulas during jumps, an event T shirt (must submit application by 11/18/24 to guarantee shirt and correct size), and event dinner on Saturday night! You will have access to all videos and social media quality photos. Full resolution/high quality photos will be available for purchase after the event.
