Featuring an incredible performance by Tanya Tagaq with opening set by Kilautiup Songuninga.

Tanya Tagaq
From Ikaluktutiak(Cambridge Bay, Nunavut), internationally celebrated artist Tanya Tagaq is an improvisational singer, avant-garde composer and bestselling author. A member of the Order of Canada, Polaris Music Prize and JUNO Award winner and recipient of multiple honorary doctorates, Tagaq is an original disruptor, a world-changing figure at the forefront of seismic social, political and environmental change.
Kilautiup Songuninga
Kilautiup Songuninga are an Inuit drum group, whose name means “strength of the drum” in English. Members are Sophie Angnatok, Solomon Semigak, Ashley Dicker, and Stan Nochasak, all originally from Nunatsiavut. They have been performing in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador since 2006, sharing their music and educating audiences about Inuit drum dancing, throat singing and storytelling.
