Big Sur - Jack Kerouac

The story follows Kerouac’s alter-ego, Jack Duluoz, who has become a reluctant celebrity following the success of his previous books. Overwhelmed by "Beatnik" fans and his own spiraling alcoholism, Jack flees San Francisco to find solitude. He retreats to a primitive cabin in Bixby Canyon (owned by his friend, poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti) to sober up and reconnect with nature.
