Big River Paddle

Did you know that two magnificent river systems flow right through our own backyard? If you've always wanted to experience these hometown waterways but lacked the gear, this is your chance. Park Rangers will lead a beautiful autumn paddle along the majestic Mississippi and Missouri Rivers. Take in stunning fall colors, towering bluffs and local wildlife while exploring these iconic rivers. This guided float is open to adults ages 18 and up and requires prior experience paddling on moving water. Registration is $15 if you bring your own watercraft or $25 to rent a park kayak. Required life jackets can be provided upon request. Before the adventure begins, participants bringing their own vessels will drop them off at the launch site. Everyone will then meet at the take-out location and be shuttled to the starting point. Pre-registration is required. Space is limited. After registering, watch for an email one week before the trip with complete program details and recommended gear.
