Spring has sprung, and it’s time to come together for a day of action, community, and care for our beloved riverfront! Join the Minnesota Marine Art Museum (MMAM) as we roll up our sleeves for the Big River Clean, an Earth Day-inspired event dedicated to protecting and restoring our shared waterways.Volunteer cleanup crews will collect riverside and roadside debris while helping to maintain MMAM’s seven acres of shoreline habitat. This hands-on effort supports a healthier river ecosystem and provides a meaningful way to deepen our connection to the natural world.
Winona State University Arboretum will be handing out tree seedlings. Species, dependent on availability, will include Bur Oak, White Pine, Wild Plum, Chokecherry, Gray Dogwood, and Serviceberry.
All ages and abilities are welcome! Registered cleanup crew members receive free museum admission. Sign up today and help us make a difference!
