Our Social Secretary Kevin Stonier will be leading this special ride out. It's a leisurely 70-miler, giving plenty of time to get to look about the National Arboretum.
As this coincides with some members being away on the Harz Mountains trip, it would be great to see this ride (and Kev!) supported. If any of you haven't done Ride To The Wall, now's your chance to see the place without the crowd. Brian Beck will be backmarker.
Before 10AM : Meet at Hazel Grove Park n Ride on the A6 side. ( left at The Rising Sun ) wheels roll at ten!
Follow A6 through Disley to the Buxton by pass roundabout. Straight across on to the by pass following signs for Buxton.
To the end of the by pass turn right. To the end about 4 mile. Straight across the roundabout sign posted A6 Matlock Ashbourne.
To Morrisons roundabout. Not left for Matlock but straight across for a short cut for the A515. To the end of that road left on to the A515. All the the way to Ashbourne.
When we get to Ashbourne Follow the route through the town centre sign posted A515 Clifton. Stay on A515 we will have regular stops to make shore everyone is with us.
The only bit of confusion is we get to a roundabout signposted A50. First left on to that then a right turn at the very next roundabout sign posted A515 Sudbury.
We can do a stop at Darley moor race circuit cafe. Which is about 50 mile into the run.
Stay on A515 sigh posted Yoxall or Litchfield. Carry on down the A515 until we reach Kings Bromley. Turn left onto the A 513. We will attempt to regroup.
From there it’s a four mile straight run into the arboretum.
The basics of this run is from Buxton to Ashbourne and up to the last four miles we follow the A515.
The total mileage is around 70 miles each way.
