Big Ideas Skilled Trades Mobile Lab and Career Exploration

NE WI Kinect Collaborative Hub is excited to offer the Big Ideas Mobile Learning Lab to the Green Bay area!

This experience brings hands-on activities directly to you, complete with immersive, industry-level simulators where you can test your skills, explore real equipment, and discover new career paths!

With a focus on skilled trades, the Learning Lab will be stationed at the NE WI Kinect Collaborative Hub where students, parents, and community members can engage with leaders of the skilled trades workforce.

Attendees can sign up for 1 hour timeslots to engage in the hands-on mobile lab with 4 stations:

• 🪚 WoodED Carpentry Table (Bandsaw Simulation)
• 🔥 Augmented Miller Welding Simulator
• 🚜 CAT Excavation Simulator
• 🥽 Transfr VR (META Headsets) – Try 25+ Virtual Career Experiences in the trades!

Attendees are encouraged to explore inside the NE WI Kinect Collaborative Hub before and after their hour timeslot. Representatives from area contractors and the building trades will be on hand to share information about the industry, as well as educational partners who can help connect you to a learning pathway!

This event is free and open to anyone interested in engineering, technology and the trades.

Attendees are welcome to bring their own lunch or purchase from the food truck on site.
