Big Feelings Monster with Andrea Kimberley, Living Tree Creative
About this Event
What if your kid could see their big emotion like anger or sadness as something separate from themselves?
Not "I AM angry." But "I HAVE anger, and it needs something."
That shift changes everything. In this parent-child art night, kids draw their big feelings as monsters, then figure out what those monsters actually need. And here's a key element: you draw yours too.
When your kid sees you acknowledging and naming your own overwhelm, something opens up. They learn that emotions aren't shameful. They're human. And you both walk out with a shared experience and possibly language you didn't have before.
What you'll leave with:
- A tool for the hard moments
- A shared experience instead of a lecture
- Proof that big feelings are survivable
- No art experience needed. Stick figures welcome.
September 26th, 2pm start.
$45 for a family of two, $65 for three, $85 for four.
This class is for seven and older.

About Andrea
Most people who come to Andrea's workshops don't consider themselves artists. If you can draw a stick figure, you have everything you need. Andrea Kimberley is an artist, facilitator, and the creator of Creative Alchemy: a methodology that uses art as a tool for self-discovery and emotional integration. For over eight years, she's been helping people who are stuck in their heads, holding more than words can carry, or quietly afraid they "can't make art" find their way back to themselves through creative practice. Her work isn't about technique or talent. It's an invitation to set performance aside, get curious, and play - because intentional creative play is where aliveness lives. Andrea creates purposeful, playful, shame-free containers. Because in her experience, that quiet inner voice saying you can't is the only thing standing between most people and their own creative life. Creativity is the guru. She's the tour guide.
