Old Hollywood is back!Celebrate the evening of Mother’s Day Saturday sipping cocktails and dancing the night away on the wooden ballroom floor at the Historic Woman's Club of Hollywood!
This Gala supports the restoration of The Club's National Historic Landmark property at 1749 N. La Brea Avenue. A welcome drink is included with each ticket.
The Big Band Alumni, a full 19 Piece orchestra features Bill A Jones and Nancy Osborne, and Guest Vocalists Franny McCartney and Windy Barnes Farrell will dazzle you with their talent.
Guest vocalist Windy Barnes Farrell has been featured extensively on world-wide tours with such legendary artists as Julio Iglesias, Stevie Wonder, and Michael Bolton; and Franny McCartney was one of Bette Midler’s revered & adored “Harlettes.”
Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, The Big Band Alumni is considered THE premier Big Band in Southern California, having played The Academy Awards Governors Ball, The Reagan Library, and opened for Tony Bennett. Members have performed with pop icons like Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Ray Charles, Rod Stewart, and even Lady Gaga. Band leader & singer Bill A Jones was in the cast of Glee, and female vocalist Nancy Osborne is herself Grammy nominated.
The Hollywood Club at the historic Woman's Club of Hollywood has served the Community since 1905 when members built Hollywood's first public library, and their outdoor music recitals morphed into the Hollywood Bowl.
