The Iowa Black Alumni Association is hosting the biennial Iowa Black Alumni Hawkeye Family Cookout at the Dan Ryan Woods, Grove 1, 91st & Prospect St., Chicago, Illinois.
We held the first outdoor cookout in Chicago on Saturday, July 30th of 2016. About 70 or so people were in attendance that day. The IBAA board has decided to host a picnic in Chicago in even numbered years to connect with our alumni.
The Alumni reunions will continue to be held in the Spring of the odd numbered years.
We look forward to seeing you in Chicago on Saturday, August 1st, 2026. Be sure to wear your Black and Gold to show your Hawkeye spirit.
