Participants, meaning me, will gather by the traffic lights on the bridge next to the Royal Hotel (which has absolutely no involvement in this event whatsoever).
Supporters, cheerleaders, and confused bystanders are invited to assemble on the pavement by the same traffic lights.

At the stroke of midnight, I will heroically sprint from East-the-Water across to Bideford, symbolically โrunning inโ the New Year like a budget Olympic torchbearer.

This is officially a one-person event. If anyone else chooses to run at the same time, thatโs entirely of their own free will, questionable judgement, and enthusiasm. No registration, no tickets, no medals, just ๐ท๐ช๐ฃ๐ฆ๐ด.
Come along for a laugh, a cheer, or to witness what will probably be the most anticlimactic athletic event of the year.
Willing to wear brand merch for food or money.
