Join us on Friday, April 4th from 5:30-9 PM at City Theater for Biddeford Mini Film Fest: Social presented by Art of Biddeford!
Experience an evening of powerful storytelling with two feature-length and two short documentaries exploring social themes like the immigrant experience, mental health, recovery, LGBTQIA+ stories, and the unique culture of Maine’s border communities.
🌟 Featured films include:
I Come From Away: An Immigrant in Maine Part I and Part II by Nyamuon “Moon” Nguany Machar
La Frontière by Katy Haas & Megan Ruffe
Recovery in ME: Queer Voices by Marissa (Riss) Bickford
There will be a Q+A with available filmmakers, moderated by Art of Biddeford after the screenings of I Come From Away: An Immigrant in Maine, Part I, La Frontière and Recovery in Maine: Queer Voices. The evening will end with the screening of I Come From Away: An Immigrant in Maine, Part 2.
🎟️ Tickets are FREE and there is a suggested donation at the door of $5-$10 to directly support the filmmakers. Tickets are available to reserve on the City Theater website.
