The City of Harlingen Parks and Recreation, Bicycle World RGV and the Valley Off-Road Bicycling Association Present: Showdown at the Arroyo IV!
Are you ready to push your limits on your mountain bike? Get ready for the Showdown at the Arroyo IV Cross Country Mountain Bike Race. This event is also Race #4 of 5 of the TMBRA Fall Texas Cup Series. This is our fourth year hosting this race, and we have created a challenging course with climbs, drops, and some fast and flowy sections. Like last year, we will host an asphalt pump track time trial on our Velosolutions track!
This event will allow riders to compete in their age category for series points. Choose your category and race over 9 miles per lap on this fast and techy course that runs along the Arroyo Colorado! This is an off-road cycling race for endurance riders - solo racers must complete the required laps for their age category to qualify for series points and podiums for the top 5 fastest riders by category. Pre-riding will begin on Thursday afternoon and throughout Saturday.
We will also be hosting the Kid's Cup race, a new racers clinic, and a pump track time trial on Saturday, 10/11/25 at Arroyo Park. Come ride our Velosolutions Asphalt Pump Track! Race day is on Sunday, 10/12/25, starting at 8:00 AM CST at the open field at Harlingen Arroyo Park.
All proceeds will go toward the Valley Off-Road Bicycling Association (VORBA), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and a local chapter of the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA).
