2025 marks the 200th anniversary of the Erie Canal and Lockport's own Flight of Five!
A Bicentennial Committee has been established to ensure the City of Lockport celebrates this historic milestone while making sure the community and local businesses are involved and promoted.
The Bicentennial Committee invites you to attend our Bicentennial Open Houses on Tuesday, January 21st from 5pm to 7pm located at the Taylor Theater at the Kenan Center OR Saturday, January 25th from 11am to 1pm at the Historic Palace Theatre.
At these meetings, we will discuss the mission and goals of the Bicentennial Committee, planned events for the 2025 summer season, ways to be informed about the Bicentennial and events, and how you can get involved! At these meetings, you can come and share your feedback and ideas on how to celebrate the Erie Canal's Bicentennial!
