Bhuleshwar & Jejuri - day trip from Pune | Deccan Drifts

In this day trip we would be visiting:

Bhuleshwar Temple

- A 12-13th Century Yadav period Shiva Temple with beautiful carvings. A fort called Daulatmangal on that hill was build in around 1628. The temple was destroyed during invasions and later rebuilt by the Marathas.

Pandeshwar Temple

- A Chalukkya era Shiva Temple on the banks of the Karha River. Later renovated by the Yadavas & then Marathas.

Mallikarjuna Temple

- A Chalukkya era Shiva Temple in Loni Bhapkar. Later renovated by the Yadavas & then Marathas. It has a beautiful stepwell nearby.

Khandoba Temple

- A 12-13th Century Yadav period Khandoba (Shiva) Temple built on a hilltop. It is a major pilgrimage site in Maharashtra. It was later renovated by the Marathas.

Day Trip Itinerary

6 - 7 am : Pick-up

8.30 am : Breakfast enroute

10 - 11 pm : Visit Bhuleshwar Temple

11.30 – 12.30 pm : Visit Pandeshwar Temple

1 pm : Lunch Enroute

2.30 - 3.30 pm - Visit Mallikarjun Temple

4.30 - 6 pm : Visit Khandoba Temple at Jejuri

6 pm : Hi-Tea enroute

7.30 pm : Drop starts at the point you were picked up

*Timings from 10 am onward would be flexible depending on the traffic & crowd on that day.
