Bhoot - Smarannik Theatre Festival 2026

The play is performed by two legendary actors of Indian film & theater, Debsankar Halder and Subhashish Mukherjee. Their plays are being performed in all important theatre festivals of the country and abroad.

The play revolves around the thrilling Jalapahar of mist-shrouded Darjeeling. Even more mysterious is its homestay, where, far away from civilisation, a chartered accountant named 'Deepesh' comes face-to-face with a strange ghost.

'Mohan Manohar Shobhan Sundar Murali Badan Shastri'—a character as colourful as his flamboyant name. Through their wit, arguments, and confessions, stories of love, neglect, regret, hunger, and war emerge one by one.
