BHM Unites 2026 is an annual, student-led celebration of unity, creativity, and community at Portola High School. The event showcases student talent, leadership, and entrepreneurship through music, student-run businesses, performances, and interactive activities that bring together students, families, educators, and the broader community

Our mission is to platform student voices and talent while fostering inclusive collaboration across gender, background, culture, and identity. BHM Unites celebrates Black History Month as a shared experience that honors diversity, creativity, and community through student-led programming and meaningful cultural engagement.

Vision

We envision a school and community culture where students are empowered to lead, create, and connect beyond a single event or month. By remaining intentionally student-led and community-driven, BHM Unites aims to build lasting unity, elevate student leadership, and strengthen connections across the Portola High School community year after year.
