Join me for an easy evening where we spend the first hour chatting one-on-one through the Gist IRL app, and then head out in small groups to grab some food, dance to Bhangra beats, and make some real connections along the way.
We'll kick things off with fast, friendly conversations. The app handles all the pairings, so you always know exactly who you're talking to and can just focus on breaking the ice with folks from all different backgrounds. Once we wrap up the rounds, you'll select the people you vibed with the most, and we'll group up to dive into the night market.
By the time you hit the dance floor, you've already got a fun crew to share the street food and live beats with. We'll be splitting into groups of 4-6, giving you a ready-made squad to grab some spicy skewers or a cold drink before migrating to the music. The Plan:
- 6:00PM: Check-In. Follow the link to set up your quick profile on your phone. - 6:05PM - 7:25PM: One-on-One Rounds. The app pairs you up for some fun, focused chats. Find out who shares your love for vibrant cultural festivals, pulsing Punjabi beats, and delicious global street food. - 7:25PM+: Group Up & Explore. Reconnect with the people you clicked with, form a tight crew of 4-6, grab some food from the trucks, snag a drink from the outdoor bars, and head over to the dance floor together.
The goal of the night is to actually explore the night market and dance with awesome new people, bypassing the usual small talk entirely.
