About this Event

FREE! Join us on Sunday, July 26 at 2pm at Artist Television Access to help complete a monumental butterfly public art installation! Be part of the final push to complete Kaleidoscope, a large-scale public art installation celebrating community, creativity, and the extraordinary migration of the monarch butterfly.
Enjoy a free afternoon of hands-on art making as we finish the last 100 glass butterflies that will become part of a 30-foot steel archway, creating a vibrant portal built by hundreds of individual contributions. No glass experience is necessary. You'll decorate pre-fused glass butterflies using glass paints and colorful frit before they return to the kiln to become part of the permanent installation. Along the way, learn about the remarkable journey of the monarch butterfly during a special talk from a wildlife biologist, experiment with fun art activities including shrinky dinks, and enjoy complimentary snacks and beverages provided by Woo Woo Studio.
Guests who arrive before 3:00 p.m. and contribute a butterfly will receive a small piece of handcrafted glass art or butterfly wearable while supplies last. Whether you're an artist, a nature lover, or simply looking for a creative afternoon, this is your chance to leave your mark on a one-of-a-kind public artwork.
