About this Event
Breathwork+Sound Healing with Cam Nagashima of EmpoweredSelf.Life
March 28th, 2025
7-9pm, $40
Step into a deeply healing experience designed to support your journey of recovery and renewal. This Breathwork & Sound Healing Journey is a guided session that combines intentional breathwork, vibrational sound healing, and meditation to help release emotional blockages, reduce stress, and reconnect with your inner strength.
What to Expect
Through a combination of conscious breathing techniques and therapeutic sound frequencies, this session will help you:
• Regulate the Nervous System – Breathwork activates the parasympathetic nervous system, shifting the body from stress and anxiety into a state of deep relaxation and clarity.
• Release Stagnant Emotions – Unprocessed emotions and past traumas often contribute to addictive patterns. Breathwork allows for safe, somatic release, creating space for healing.
• Elevate Consciousness & Awareness – Sound healing with instruments like crystal bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, chimes, and drums helps shift brainwave states, promoting deep relaxation and a heightened sense of self-awareness.
• Restore Inner Balance – By integrating breath and sound, this journey fosters emotional resilience, self-acceptance, and a sense of peace.
The Journey
1. Opening Intention Setting – We begin by grounding into the present moment and setting a personal intention for healing and growth.
2. Guided Breathwork – Using rhythmic breathing techniques such as Conscious Connected Breath or 4-7-8 Breathing, we activate deep emotional and energetic release.
3. Sound Healing Immersion – As breathwork shifts energy, a live soundscape of crystal bowls, gongs, chimes, and drum vibrations will guide you deeper into a meditative state, allowing the body and mind to recalibrate.
4. Integration & Reflection – We close with a moment of stillness, guided affirmations, and optional journaling to anchor insights from the experience.
Who This Is For
This journey is designed for individuals in recovery from addiction, those seeking emotional healing, or anyone looking to reconnect with themselves on a deeper level. No prior experience with breathwork or meditation is required—just an open heart and willingness to receive.
Allow yourself to surrender, breathe, and be held in the healing resonance of sound and breath as you move forward on your path of renewal and self-discovery.
Why Breathwork & Sound Healing Support Addiction Recovery
Addiction is often rooted in unresolved trauma, emotional pain, and nervous system dysregulation. Breathwork and sound healing offer powerful, non-invasive tools to support the recovery journey by addressing these underlying imbalances on a physical, emotional, and energetic level.
1. Nervous System Regulation
• Many people in addiction recovery experience heightened stress, anxiety, and nervous system dysregulation.
• Breathwork activates the parasympathetic nervous system, shifting the body from fight-or-flight into rest-and-digest mode. This helps reduce cravings, calm anxiety, and support emotional balance.
• Sound healing slows brainwave activity, guiding the mind into deeply relaxed states (theta and delta), which promote nervous system healing.
2. Emotional Release & Trauma Healing
• Addiction often stems from suppressed emotions and unresolved trauma stored in the body.
• Breathwork is a somatic release practice, allowing stored emotions to move through and out of the body without needing to verbalize them. This helps process past pain in a safe, controlled way.
• Sound vibrations clear stagnant energy and promote emotional balance, helping to soothe overwhelming feelings and rewire the brain’s response to stress.
3. Rewiring the Brain & Supporting Neuroplasticity
• Addiction disrupts brain chemistry, creating patterns of dependency and disconnection.
• Conscious breathing increases oxygen flow to the brain, improving focus, clarity, and emotional regulation. Over time, this helps rebuild neural pathways that support self-awareness and resilience.
• Sound healing entrains the brain to new frequencies, reinforcing calmness, mindfulness, and deeper states of healing that counteract compulsive behaviors.
4. Restoring Connection & Spiritual Healing
• Addiction often leaves individuals feeling disconnected—from themselves, their emotions, and their purpose.
• Breathwork reconnects people to their bodies and intuition, fostering self-trust and inner guidance.
• Sound healing creates a meditative space for self-reflection, allowing individuals to experience deep peace and reconnect with their higher self or spiritual beliefs.
5. Reducing Cravings & Enhancing Mindfulness
• By activating the relaxation response and reducing stress hormones, breathwork and sound healing help lessen cravings and emotional triggers that contribute to relapse.
• These modalities increase mindfulness and present-moment awareness, teaching individuals how to self-soothe without external substances.
6. Supporting Sleep & Overall Well-being
• Many in recovery struggle with insomnia or disrupted sleep patterns.
• Breathwork helps regulate melatonin and serotonin levels, improving sleep quality and emotional stability.
• Sound healing entrains brainwaves into a deep relaxation state, promoting restful sleep and cellular healing.
By integrating breathwork and sound healing into recovery, individuals gain tools for self-regulation, emotional processing, and spiritual connection—key elements for long-term healing and freedom from addiction.
