The BFM 5K on the Runway is back Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Mobile International Airport!

⏰ 5K starts at 8:00 a.m.
📍 Mobile International Airport at Brookley
This isn’t your average 5K. You’ll run or walk an actual airport runway, pass Airbus’ Final Assembly Line and experience one of the most unique race courses on the Gulf Coast.
🚨 Registration is limited to 500 runners. Once we hit 500, registration closes!

THE 5K COURSE ✈️
The certified 5K starts at Broad Street and 6th Street before heading toward the airfield. Runners will enter Runway 18/36, pass Airbus’ Final Assembly Line and loop back to the finish.
1-MILE FUN RUN
Our family-friendly 1-Mile Fun Run also starts at Broad Street and 6th Street, taking participants past Flight Works Alabama before looping back to the finish.
Whether you’re chasing a PR, walking with friends or bringing the family for a morning on the runway, this is a race you won’t get to do just anywhere.
Even better, your registration supports the Mobile Airport Authority Foundation and its work in aviation, education and community engagement.
