I love working with sea glass. Bottles and glass that have been thrown into the sea become tumbled by the waves and this gradually smooths the glass to create a naturally distinctive piece. In this workshop, Faith will help you create your very own unique jewellery piece by learning how to measure, cut and create a bezel setting to fit sea glass in silver.
Using traditional jewellery techniques, you will learn:
Cutting
Texturing
Forming
A stone setting technique called Bezel setting
Soldering
Filing
Finishing
What’s Included?
All the materials will be provided on the day. I have a large selection of sea glass you can choose from.
You are more than welcome to bring your own sea glass. We can talk together to check if it’s suitable to use.
If you would prefer to work on a gemstone, we have a small selection in stock.
You will be provided with a piece of silver for setting. However, if you wish the setting to be used on a ring or bangle, there will be a small charge for extra silver used on the day.
