An introductory workshop to help you begin to tap into a resource everyone has available to them- the mammalian nervous system. With the help of our amazing horses, you can begin to use this resource to improve outcomes for you and your clients, students, patients, etc. This is open to all helping professionals. This will be especially helpful for teachers, mental health professionals, social workers, and anyone working directly with people who are regularly struggling with emotional, social, and mental health challenges.
Do you ever feel that you are missing something but can't describe what you are missing? Do you misattune to others but do not understand why? Do you struggle to reach the desired outcomes with certain people in your practice or classroom?
In this 2- hour workshop, we will use a combination of instruction and experiential learning with our horses to:
-increase awareness of your nervous system and what it is telling you (so you can always have this valuable resource for helping yourself and others)
-improve your ability to regulate another nervous system without words (especially useful when talking is off the table)
-practice your new skills with a non-verbal being- our horses!
-get feedback and guidance from our highly skilled trauma-informed equine assisted psychotherapy and learning facilitators so you can continue practicing and honing your nervous system powers!
This introductory workshop will set you up to learn more about:
-effectively and intentionally using your nervous system to help others when things get too tough for words
-help you improve your ability to understand and communicate with others when they, or you, are dysregulated
-what to do when someone's words and behaviors do not match
how to deeply attune to another so they feel truly seen, heard, and understood by you
Cost: $50 per person
