Summoning all library lovers for an early evening of thrills and chills and a touch of the macabre! Join us on October 18th for our spooky fundraiser, Beyond the Veil!The haunting starts at the Universalist Cemetery located behind the Federated Church. Historian Pam Brown will lead a tour through the nearly 200-year-old burial ground, bringing to life the long silent stories of sea captains and residents of days gone by.
Trek back to the Library and gather in Ora’s Parlor for more spine-tingling delights. Ghost hunter, David Sircom, will tantalize you with the account of how the Ora Hinckley wing was found to be inhabited by spirits.
Enjoy a sampling of gruesome goodies and spirited concoctions, as H. Greg Williams, lecturer and lover of the macabre, makes your hair stand on end as he reads a selection of tales guaranteed to give you goosebumps and render you sleepless for nights on end!
A limited number of tickets are available for $30 and include one special themed beverage. There may or may not be unseen guests.
