Beyond the Threshold: Health, Homelessness and the Human Cost of Exclusion
About this Event
As part of Simon Week 2026, Galway Simon Community is proud to host Beyond the Threshold: Health, Homelessness and the Human Cost of Exclusion, a conference examining the complex relationship between health and homelessness and the challenges faced by those most excluded from care and support.
This important event will bring together voices from across the sector, including people with lived experience, healthcare professionals, policymakers and service providers, to explore the barriers that prevent some of our most vulnerable citizens from accessing the care they need.
The conference will shine a light on who falls beyond the threshold of support, what happens when they do, and the human cost of exclusion. Attendees will hear powerful personal stories alongside local and national perspectives, while learning about innovative and life-changing approaches being developed by Galway Simon Community and partner organisations to bridge gaps in services and support.
Whether you work in health, housing, social care, community services, advocacy or policy, this conference offers an opportunity to engage with the realities of homelessness, share learning and consider how we can create more inclusive systems of care.
