Beyond the Textbook: A Perinatal Health Simulation

preconference session offered through MSDH's Healthy Moms/Healthy Babies and UMMC's CHAMP for Moms. This preconference steps beyond the traditional learning system into an engaging, hands-on simulation that is designed to strengthen perinatal knowledge, critical thinking, and real-world response skills. Participants will rotate through five interactive modules that address pregnancy warning signs, prematurity, infant safe sleep, toddler safety, and perinatal mental health. This interdisciplinary experience will help professionals recognize risks, respond appropriately and better support mothers, infants, young children, and families across the perinatal journey. Registration is $5 for the 2.5-hour course.
