Beyond the Surface - Artist Panel
About this Event
Galerie Myrtis invites you to an engaging panel discussion titled “Beyond the Plate: Conversations on Contemporary Printmaking,” taking place in conjunction with the exhibition Beyond the Surface: Exploring Visibility in Print. This conversation will bring together printmakers to discuss a range of printmaking processes, studio practices, and the realities of navigating the contemporary art world as a printmaker.
Moderated by Founding Director of Galerie Myrtis, Dr. Myrtis Bedolla, the conversation will examine technical approaches, collaborative studio culture, professional development, and sustaining a creative practice. “Beyond the Plate” will offer insight into both the craft and career of printmaking today. Whether you are an emerging artist, collector, educator, or print enthusiast, this discussion invites audiences into the layered world of contemporary print practice. Panelists will include Chloe Alexander, Delita Martin, and more!
The program will conclude with an open Q&A, giving attendees a rare opportunity to connect directly with the artists and learn more about their current and upcoming projects.
The “Beyond the Plate: Conversations on Contemporary Printmaking” will take place on Saturday, June 13th from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at 2224 N Charles St, Baltimore, MD. This event is free and open to the public. RSVP is required as seating is limited.
