Beyond the Queen's Gambit at the Hive Collaborative

Storyteller, comedian, speaker and chess advocate Pat LaVone takes center stage at The Hive Collaborative on Friday, March 21 at 7:30 pm, a cozy little theater in St. Paul, where he'll share many of the amazing benefits children and adults receive when they play and practice chess. You'll follow his journey: falling in love with the royal game at a young age, watching thousands of students reap the benefits of playing, and ultimately pursuing the answer to the question, "Why a Chess Club?"

Whether you're a chess enthusiast (especially chess parents!) or a non-chess person just looking for a great night out and a few laughs, this is it: fun, funny, inspiring, and insightful. Doors open at 7:00 pm, show starts at 7:30 pm. General seating - get there early for the best seats. Tickets are $20 in advance online. Some tickets may be available at the door for $25. Plenty of on-street parking is available in this safe, cozy neighborhood theater setting.
