Beyond the Planchette: Ouija Safety & Etiquette

Ouija boards have long been surrounded by mystery, superstition, and more than a little Hollywood drama. In this class, we’ll move beyond the myths and explore the Ouija board as a traditional form of spirit communication and divination.
Participants will learn the history of talking boards, how they work, and practical approaches for using them with intention, discernment, and respect. We’ll discuss preparing yourself and your space, establishing clear boundaries, choosing appropriate questions, recognizing when it is time to end a session, and properly opening and closing communication.
We’ll also explore grounding and protection practices, spiritual hygiene, working with a partner or group, interpreting responses without forcing meaning, and what to do when a session feels uncomfortable or simply isn’t working.
