As the city of Vancouver welcomes the world, Vancouver Film School is opening its doors for World Cup: Beyond the Pitch – a month-long series of screenings, talks, and interactive experiences that explore the stories, culture, creativity, and global impact of the game.
We’ll also be hosting campus tours on each screening day (see below for full event details). Whether you're a lifelong football fan or simply looking to be part of the excitement, there's something for everyone.
Bend It Like Beckham: Film Screening & Discussion

A heartwarming coming-of-age story, Bend It Like Beckham combines sport, comedy, and family drama in a film that remains as relevant today as when it first premiered. Following two young footballers determined to make their mark, the film explores themes of identity, belonging, and breaking barriers both on and off the field. (112 minutes, PG-13)
