Beyond the Code: Rethinking Accessibility in Design
About this Event
What does it really mean for a space to be accessible and who are we designing for? This thought-provoking panel brings together a designer, developer, and user to explore the gap between meeting minimum standards and creating spaces that truly work for people. Through a candid, real-world discussion, panelists will challenge common assumptions, share lived experiences, and unpack where current practices fall short, despite being “technically compliant.”
From policy and incentives to practical design decisions and day-to-day operations, this session will equip commercial real estate professionals with actionable insights to rethink how accessibility is approached across homes, offices, and public spaces. Attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of inclusive design, and the tools to be stronger advocates and allies for more accessible, human-centered environments.
