Beyond The Brush 2025 is Beyond Odyssey's inaugural open format painting competition!
When - Saturday 14th of June
Where - Beyond Odyssey
Time - 9am start for entry and exhibition, entry cut-off at 12pm
Early entry on the 12th and 13th of June, all day 10am-10pm
Ticket price - $6 or $5 for members - this is per entry

9:00am - 12:00pm entry
12:00pm - 5:00pm exhibition and judging
5:00pm - 5:30pm prizing
5:30pm feedback and model collection
Format -
It is an open format, meaning there is no limit as to what you may enter or how many times you enter your selected categories!
If you want to enter busts, Warhammer, Gundam, even military scale models, all is welcome and encouraged at Beyond The Brush!
Categories -
Standard -
This category ranges from those who are new to painting to those who are new to painting competitions.
Advanced -
This category is for painting competition veterans, for those who have succeeded in other competitions. If you have competed in a painting competition before and placed, this is the category for you!
Critter -
The critter category is all about celebrating and painting the little critters, creatures, and animals that (in their respective scale) are horse sized or smaller. Creatures such as goblins are included as well as other creatures that embody the spirit of a critter.

Under 16's -
This category follows the same rules and judging as the others, the only limit is that all entrants have to be 16 years old or younger.
Judging-
Judging at Beyond The Brush will be quite different compared to a traditional painting competitions. Instead of awarding a single Gold, Silver, and Bronze award in each category, we will be awarding multiple awards to every piece that achieves the Gold/Silver/Bronze standard.
For example, say there are 5 entries in the beginner category that are at what the judges deem to be silver standard, all receive a silver award, same with gold and bronze!
