This no-cost training is provided by the Missouri Division of Fire Safety Education/Advisory Commission.
This 8-hr. course looks at fire behavior from a fire science perspective. We will discuss the chemistry and physics of fire at the molecular level and apply that knowledge to real-life case studies involving fire growth, development, and spread, including hostile fire events.
This is not an entry-level "fire triangle" course. Participants should have a basic understanding of the fire tetrahedron, methods of heat transfer, stages of fire development, and some experience with fighting compartment fires.
First seats are reserved for Northland Fire Chiefs department personnel, but feel free to contact us to be put on the wait list for any remaining seats. Once the Northland personnel are enrolled, remaining available seats can be registered through Acadis.
