The Chemo Care Bag Project will host Beyond the Bag, a free morning of practical information, conversation, and support for cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, and family members, on Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Lutheran Church in Clearfield, with doors opening at 8:30 a.m.
Beyond the Bag builds on the project’s work of providing comfort items during cancer treatment. The event gives attendees time to ask questions, connect with others, and explore resources they can use at home.
The morning will begin with a shared session, followed by three half-hour breakout rounds with separate sessions for cancer patients and caregivers. Caregiver sessions will also include a make-and-take activity.
Breakfast, coffee, fruit, vegetables, and snacks will be provided. Optional brief chair massages will be available by appointment throughout the morning, with limited spaces.
Attendees will receive helpful resources and a take-home thank-you gift, with door prizes throughout the morning and a grand-prize drawing at closing.
Advance registration is requested by Monday, November 2, to help organizers prepare food, seating, and take-home materials.
