Join Sara Stone LCPC and Camille Deitz LCPC for a 6 CEU* experiential training to expand your tool box beyond traditional talk therapy methods. Participants will learn how to utilize somatic and expressive tools personally and with their clients to gain insight, resource, feel into emotion, regulate, and process trauma. Be able to name why bottom up processing (brainstem to cortex) is crucial for trauma resolution in conjunction with traditional top down (cognitive) modalities. 🧠
Understand the importance of exteroception (orienting to the outside world 🌄) and interoception (awareness of your internal world 🧘🏽♀️) in therapy and trauma processing.
Learn a variety of somatic orienting and grounding techniques 🌳
Participate in exercises to name and track sensations and strengthen felt sense. 🏋️
