Our season finale celebrates composers whose relationships with sound and music are shaped by their personal experiences with hearing loss. 2026 Pulitzer Prize winner Gabriela Lena Frank draws musical imagery from her mother’s Peruvian roots in Four Folk Songs, and Fauré’s late piano trio is expressive and songful. Beethoven’s monumental “Archduke” trio reaches new depths within the composer’s groundbreaking soundworld.
