In recognition of International Overdose Awareness Day on August 31st, VBIS is hosting a free community educational presentation. This presentation will share key findings from the three-year British Columbia Consensus on Brain Injury, Mental Health and Addictions research project, raising awareness of the potential impacts of non-fatal opioid overdose, including brain injury and its intersection with ongoing mental health and substance use challenges. Drawing on community perspectives, the research identifies priorities and solutions to better support people experiencing these interconnected issues across BC.
