Beyond CICO- Expanding the Tier II Toolbox

Check-In/Check-Out is strong practice — but in many schools it is the only Tier 2 tool on the shelf, so every student gets it no matter what is driving the behavior.

This full-day institute is about the rest of the toolbox: identifying students earlier and more equitably, naming the function behind a behavior, and matching students to supports that fit — attendance interventions, mentoring, skill groups, break passes, behavior contracts, self-monitoring, and home notes. We build the systems side too, so students move through Tier 2 instead of living in it.
