Join us for a peaceful late-summer gathering in the beautiful gardens of Garden Path Homemade Soap in Vankleek Hill.
Together we'll slow down, reconnect with nature, and discover the healing gifts growing all around us. During our guided walk, you'll learn to identify common wild and cultivated herbs, explore their traditional medicinal uses, taste seasonal plants, and hear the stories that have connected people to these herbs for generations.
After our walk, we'll gather, protected from the elements, for homemade refreshments and simple treats while sharing what we've discovered. You'll also have time to browse the Garden Path Homemade Soap shop using your exclusive 10% discount and meet Tara, who opened her grounds for our gathering. Her husband Scott, the beekeeper in the family, keeps hives on-site which we will discover with caution from a distance. During our visit, honey bees and their wonderful products will be an important topic and we'll discover how we can bring the gifts of bees and herbs together.
Whether you're completely new to herbalism or already growing herbs at home, you'll leave with practical knowledge, fresh inspiration, and a deeper connection to the plants (and insects) around you.
Ines, your guide for this event, is a certified Forest Therapy and Therapeutic Horticulture Practitioner, herbalist, biologist, and educator with over 20 years of experience working with plants. She will guide you in identifying, harvesting, tasting, and working with common medicinal and culinary herbs while sharing traditional herbal knowledge, practical tips, and mindful ways to connect with the plants around us.
Together, we'll gather a small selection of herbs to create your own handcrafted bundles - perfect for a comforting herbal tea or a fragrant bouquet garni to bring the flavours of the garden into your kitchen.

What to expect:
More than a herb walk, this is an invitation to reconnect - with nature, with your senses, and with the quiet wisdom of plants. Whether you're discovering herbs for the first time or deepening an existing passion, you'll leave inspired to notice the abundance growing just beyond your doorstep.
