Drawing on 50 years of life and music, Joel Rafael is a passionate folk songwriter rooted in lived experience. He began performing in Southern California in the early 1970s, toured with Jesse Colin Young in 1981, and released his debut Dharma Bums. A Kerrville Folk Award winner, he toured with Joan Baez and shares five co-writes with Woody Guthrie.
Winner of the San Diego Music Award for Best Acoustic Performer, singer songwriter, John Katchur has performed as opening act for such legendary artists as Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Steven Stills, Don McLean, Arlo Guthrie, and many others. Cindy Lee Berryhill describes John as a “gigantic talent on the so cal scene.” John has a strong reputation for impeccable and captivating delivery. The San Diego Troubadour magazine says, “John Katchur plays guitar with equal measures of grace, complexity, and fearless confidence.
