About the Book
I Made It Out Of Clay by BETH KANDER
Creating a monster instead of confronting your grief… what could go wrong? In this unconventional love story, sad and struggling 39-year-old Eve Goodman creates a golem. This monster from Jewish folklore is a protector, meant to solve all her problems. At first, Paul Mudd seems like the perfect companion—but her DIY-romcom soon mudslides into disaster. Eve finally realizes that if she ever wants to get out of the muck, she has to reconnect with all the loves in her life she’s been ignoring: her family, her friends, her cute new neighbor. Which means it’s time, literally and figuratively, to slay her own monsters. Originally pitched as BROAD CITY meets SEAN OF THE DEAD, this book is strangely sweet, darkly funny, and a true mashup of old legends and elder millennial angst. An instant USA Today bestseller!
