There will be 2 scheduled trip in 2025 (spring & late autumn)
This event is planned for late spring cycling where we timed to also catch the cherry blossoms forecasted in Hokkaido.
We did this itinerary back from 2018-2019 before the pandemic & we are restarting this challenging itinerary from 2025.
Synopsis:
A favourite spot for many to do their skiing holiday, Hokkaido is an super understated destination for cycling.
With a good network of quiet & nice-paved roads, it is definitely a haven for road cyclist.
This cycling course is suitable for the more avid & experienced cyclists who are keen to put in more mileage and tackle several good climbs ranging from 500-700m (compared to our other easier Hokkaido tour eg. <great nature="" ride="">
Join in this cycling adventure, as we ride to enjoy the splendid countryside scenery, good local food, fresh seafood, & stay in hotels & traditional ryokans with onsens.
Feel like a pro for 1 week as we pamper you with all the support & guiding from our ground team.

Day1 - Arrival New Chitose Airport (CTS)
Cycle out directly from airport upon arrival!!
Unpacked your own bike (or use our rental bikes) & prepare to start cycling.
Afternoon cycle via the Chitose river bike paths to Shikotsu (33km, ^335m). Start in Chitose, ride through the lush forested areas of Shikotsu-Toya National Park, and reach the pristine Lake Shikotsu & surrounding mountains. Enjoy the serene lakeside atmosphere and explore the local hot springs.
Day2 - Shikotsu / Lake Toya (85km, ^950m) (BLD)(2nites)
Ride through the picturesque countryside to Lake Toya, another stunning caldera lake. Enjoy the scenic beauty, visit the active volcano Mount Usu, and unwind in the hot springs by the lake.
Day3 - Figure of 8 Ride > Lake Toya Showa Shinzan (60km, ^750m) (BLD)
Ride through scenic landscapes to Lake Toya, enjoy hot springs, and visit the Usuzan Ropeway for volcanic views.
Day4 Lake Toya / Makkari / Mt Yotei / Niseko (65km, ^880m) (BLD)
Round Lake Toya with magnificent view of Mt Yotei as we make our way through more quiet countryside farmlands route to the popular ski-resort of Niseko.
Day5 Niseko / Kutchan /Otaru (70km, ^1050m) (BLD)
Explore the canals & historic port town of Otaru
Day6 Otaru / Jozankei / Sapporo (75km, ^1520m) (BLD)
Ride out of Otaru via a special route that goes up the circular Asari sky bridge & back to Sapporo via the Toyohira river bike path
Day7 - departure from Hokkaido / SIN ( *or own extension)
We also offer additional day-rides around Sapporo for a fee.
